| Most of the ski slopes of the Grand-Bornand
ski resort are found at the Chinaillon. They spread out just opposite Les
Rhododendrons windows and stretch up far as the summit of the Mont Lachat du
Châtillon. (2100m).Excellent snow quality is guaranteed from December to Easter. | |
| There are 39 ski lifts (2 cable cars, 13 chair lifts, 24
tow lifts) serving 48 runs (3 black, 14 red, 16 blue and 10 green).The
skiable area covers 360 hectares with 90km of runs of which 60km can be
covered with artificial snow if necessary. There is also a slalom ski run, a snow park for riders . You can taste the joys of night skiing every thuesday night from 20h to 22h30 on the Gettier run. With the "Carte d'Hôte", you will get a 50% discount off the normal price ( 3,30 € for children aged under 15 years old and 5€ for adults, in 2006)

| For cross-country skiing there are 62 kms of tracks spread throughout the Chinaillon and the Bouchet Valley.Tracks also link the Confins to La Clusaz. | |

| FOREST ADVENTURE PARK:"La Forêt des Dodes",
situated close to the ice- rink in the village will open during the Easter
holidays if the weather permits. For a bit of excitement, a zip wire is
avaible during the afternoons of the summer season, weather permitting.
ICE -RINK:The Grand-Bornand ice-rink is large ( 800m²) and roofed over and you can skate in full view of the Aravis Mountains.
You can also taste the thrill of walks,with or without snowshoes (tracks are marked out, where you will pass by old chalets and chapels. You can also go paragliding take horse-drawn rides from Grand-Bornand, and dog sled rides on the Glières plateau. After a day's skiing, you can enjoy the many different stores and souvenir shops in the Chinaillon as well as the cinema.
With the CARTE D'HOTES, you will have free access to buses from the slopes to the chalet and from the Grand-Bornand to the Chinaillon
